Podcasting is putting various media files through downloading via web syndication. It is basically a way to post files over the internet and having the ability to access them in real time or through streaming web files. This is a new medium and a way to share and trade files and directly relates to new forms of media such as journalism 2.0 and the new phase of blogging. There are also various forms of podcasting such as video podcating, a new way to interact with various people when you can not be in contact with them in person.

This new form of journalism is still relatively new and will most likely become more advanced over the years and could possibly take over various things such as class, etc as many teachers are trying to have class via podcasts and not in the classroom. It is an art form that will continue to grow and change as new ideas come about and it advances even further. Podcasting is a different way to express yourself and any beliefs you may have or various things you may want to talk about.
